Dear Friend,
Welcome to the website of the Covington Associate Reformed Presbyterian
(ARP) Church. Our congregation is part of the
Mississippi Valley
Presbytery, which is a geographical grouping of other ARP churches in
Arkansas, western Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and West Tennessee. Our
presbytery is one of ten such groupings that compose our national
denomination, known as the General Synod of the
ARP Church. You can learn
who we are as a denomination through the links provided at this website.
Concerning us as a congregation, we are a small body of Christians whose
purpose is to point people to Christ, for the glory of God. We endeavor to
do this through our worship of Christ and our witness to Christ in the
Covington community and throughout the world. Our membership ranges from
young children to seasoned adults. We gather each Lord's Day morning for
Sunday School, followed by corporate worship which is God-centered and
Christ-exalting and Word-based. Throughout the school year we have Kids
Club and Youth Group that meet Sunday evenings. On a monthly basis the
Women of the Church has its meeting, and on the first Sunday of each month
a small group gathers for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Also
monthly there is a prayer time for persecuted Christians living in the
"10/40 Window."
If you are looking for a Reformed and conservative church, where you may
worship and serve the Lord Jesus, we invite you to visit us.
Christ's Alone,
Rev. David T. Griffin
(Pastor)
